Song Titles

Attaching a title to a song is often quite simple. Just take a word or phrase out of the chorus, and there you go.

As I mentioned in an earlier blog, I’m revisiting “ghost songs” from previous lives and I’m almost finished with one of them. The chorus is:

I won’t feel sorry for you until you’re dead.
There were a million moments you could have lived.

I know. Harsh. So, any number of titles could be taken from these lines such as:

Won’t Feel Sorry
Until You’re Dead
Could Have Lived
Sorry For You

Etc…

My dilemma is that I want to date this song so that it is removed from my present life. By recording it and making it public I’m actually putting it to rest.

So I came up with an idea for a song title that I’m comfortable with. Why not actually date it (like a tombstone) so that the five minutes of the song mark a beginning and an end to that three year span of time? So a more appropriate title for this song would be 2001-2004.
