When recording I tend to get seduced by effects. Because my songs are written and developed on acoustic instruments I often get bored by their natural state. However, with this particular song I decided to keep things simple and call it complete at what would normally be a very early stage in my recording process. I enjoy bouncing around on this infinite spectrum of musical possibilities, but I can feel myself looking back with longing at my more experimental and unique creations.

This is a great song. I love the drum track. It sounds like tap dancing shoes. It doesn’t have a MIDI/electronic feel to it, so I’m wondering if you actually tapped danced while you were singing. Just kidding. I like the lyrics too. Good stuff.
