Many Stages

The last time I addressed stage fright in this blog was when I was at a safe distance from actually performing in front of people, so my writing was based only on emotion and now seems a tad overdramatic.

Well, my stage nervousness (“fright” is a little excessive) still exists but at least I’m experiencing it instead of just anticipating it. Heart Lake Owl opened up for The Pull & Be Damned String Band at the Rockfish Grill on May 4th and will be performing on Guemes Island at Anderson’s Store this coming Friday June 8th.

Getting that first one out of the way was huge. I admit that I was nervous to the point of absurdity and, of course, my trepidation was unnecessary. The four songs we performed seemed to go by in an instant and although I know I could have done better, I also have to accept it for what it was and move on to the next thing.

Keep up with Heart Lake Owl’s activities on our Facebook page.
